RLS in Singapore

In year 2004, Land Transport Authority of Singapore (LTA) called for a public tender for technologies to solve its issues with corrosion of street lighting poles.

The tender evaluation by LTA team was, as always, thorough and stringent, both in conference room and on site. Only RLS could prove its ability and accuracy as promised. Thus, corrosion detection using RLS technique from England was selected among the many techniques offered even though it was not the lowest bid.

Island-wide corrosion detection of LTA street lighting poles and direction signage project was awarded in 2005 using RLS technique. This initiative had saved the authority millions of dollars in unnecessary replacement of asset while ensuring the safety of the public is not compromised.
